A Year Ago Today...

Well, first and foremost, here is another picture from Easter that really needs posting. No caption necessary. We were just talking about the things we were doing a year ago today versus what we were doing today. Last year, I was one day past due with Josh. Not quite depressed yet- but willing to try almost anything to make labor happen. We googled "home remedies for inducing labor" and tried everything that we deemed reasonable, including putting peppermint extract on my ankles, eating fresh pineapple, and several other activities (yes, even that one...).
Today, on the other hand, we spent a while outside watching our handsome boy walk and explore.
Playing with one of his favorite toys
Waving to Mommy

Josh getting used to all-terrain walking- he is pretty good at it- but he looks so worried in this picture! So unsure...

We moved to a cement pad area where he took big, confident steps.

And sometimes he fell down, but he got right back up again.
Every day is an adventure with this little guy. I cannot believe how much he has grown. Even tonight, right before he went to bed... I think he is learning "dog" because he pointed at the one stuffed dog in the room and said "da". I got the dog, put it in his crib, and he immediately crawled over to it, picked it up and said "da" again. He doesn't do that with any of his other stuffed animals. So right now he is asleep with "da" and the rest of the stuffed animal brigade.
Stay tuned for a happy birthday post where we will review Josh's life in pictures later this week.

So cute! He's growing up so big and walking like a pro, awesome! Abbey is refusing to use her legs but she's a good army crawler.... I'm glad it's finally warm enough to play outside with the little people, yeah!!!!!
