Spring Break Adventures

Whew! We had a lovely spring break trip- even with the weather turning lousy on Saturday.

Prepare yourself for many pictures.

But before we discuss spring break, a special thanks to Aunt Stacey for sending us this picture she took when they were down to visit last weekend. (That is Uncle Andy- Steve's dad's brother- that is playing with Josh).

And now for Spring Break. Our travels took us to Mesquite, Nevada, where we stayed in a pretty swanky hotel (luckily one without a casino so we didn't have to deal with smoke and noise and stuff while checking in and finding our rooms...) It was up on a hill- so we were above all the hustle and bustle (haha).

Here is the view from our window. What a lovely green valley!

There was a nice outdoor pool, which meant for pretty cold water, but Josh didn't care.
We could barely keep him from diving right off the steps!
And Friday we went to "see" Las Vegas, since Steve has never actually been there. It was like a trip around the world!

New York

Paris

Italy
And even great castles!

(Look- there is Merlin's hut!)

Josh was such a good boy as we walked around- even though he looks a bit stoned in this picture we took at the beginning of the adventure. But he was having a grand old time later in the day.

We all enjoyed the beautiful flowers in the Bellagio. Especially these lovely creations.

We found a great aquarium to sit by in the Forum Shops at Ceasers Palace that Josh just loved! (Turn the volume all the way down on this video- the background noise is REALLY loud, and I promise that Steve and I didn't say anything. We just watch Josh watch the fish.)

And amid all the excitement, we were even able to do some family history and find the family crest for Steve's mom's family. Aren't you all proud?

On Saturday we stopped in St. George to shop and have lunch with Steve's friend Aliese and her husband, and now we are home again and ready for another week. We are especially excited for Easter Sunday because of the cute outfit Josh has, so look for more pictures within a couple days!

Never been to Vegas, eh Steve? I'd like to hear your commentary about it.

About half of my mom's family lives there, and I went to SUU my freshman year, (Vegas is, of course, the vacation destination for all the SUU freshmen) so I've been there a few times... all I have to say is: Fun place to visit, but I wouldn't live there for all the money in the world.

The Vegas temple is pretty though.

Ah yes, the Bellagio botanical gardens are gorgeous! I can't believe Steve's never been to Vegas; how is it that I didn't know that?! It was great to see you guys. I can't believe how big Josh is since we saw him last.
