Halloween Adventures

Halloween this year was fun- once we got around to it. After being stuck in construction traffic in Utah County for about 1 1/2 hours on Friday(with a very sad baby and a potty training 2 year old who eventually had to try to pee in a cup), we got to the trunk or treat at Steve's parents' church building. Josh went car to car getting candy and had a great time. But once he had visited each car he said "Come on! Go home!" He wasn't into the idea of just sitting around chatting once there was no more candy to get.
Once the downpour of rain stopped here in Ephraim on Saturday, Steve took Josh out trick-or-treating. Josh loved being a helper at home handing out candy (but of course, once he was done trick or treating himself, off came the costume...) Here are a couple pics I snapped before he changed out of his "monkey jacket".
(Note Josh's Cars potty in the background- I think he is fully trained now. This week we are going to move the potty into the bathroom to get him used to having to go in there. Hooray for Josh!)
Abby was a bumblebee. I added black tights after I took this picture, but once I put the tights on, she promptly fell asleep and snoozed through most of the evening. It was too cold to take her trick or treating. But at least she dressed up, right?
So now Halloween is over. Josh was sad today when someone from the ward came by to drop off a paper- he ran to the door when he heard the doorbell, and when I opened it he said "No trick or treat?" But he has plenty of candy to remember the event. And next year I'm sure he will love teaching his little sister all about the joys of trick or treating.

Abby's Blessing

We had Abby's blessing a few weeks ago, but I didn't get any pictures of Abby in her dress. So here she is... We got this beautiful dress FOR FREE from the parent of one of Steve's past students. She said since he had such a profound influence on her daughter's life, she wanted to do something nice. It is gorgeous.
We love our sweet baby girl!

Back in Black

We had family pictures done today. We'll post some of those when we get some, but since we were looking cute and matchy-matchy (and I actually had my hair done AND makeup on) I had Steve snap a pic of me and Abby, since I don't have one yet.
She is getting such chubby cheeks!
Josh sure loves his sister.
Thanks to daddy for taking some pictures- that is why he isn't in any of them.

In other news, UEA Break was potty-training time for us. Josh took to it very well, especially once we got him a Cars potty. Every time he goes pee, he stands up and says "All right!" He loves when we are outside and he gets to pee on the flowers. What a boy. Still the occasional accident, but we had a dry night last night, so things are looking good.
