Halloween this year was fun- once we got around to it. After being stuck in construction traffic in Utah County for about 1 1/2 hours on Friday(with a very sad baby and a potty training 2 year old who eventually had to try to pee in a cup), we got to the trunk or treat at Steve's parents' church building. Josh went car to car getting candy and had a great time. But once he had visited each car he said "Come on! Go home!" He wasn't into the idea of just sitting around chatting once there was no more candy to get.
Once the downpour of rain stopped here in Ephraim on Saturday, Steve took Josh out trick-or-treating. Josh loved being a helper at home handing out candy (but of course, once he was done trick or treating himself, off came the costume...) Here are a couple pics I snapped before he changed out of his "monkey jacket".
(Note Josh's Cars potty in the background- I think he is fully trained now. This week we are going to move the potty into the bathroom to get him used to having to go in there. Hooray for Josh!)
Abby was a bumblebee. I added black tights after I took this picture, but once I put the tights on, she promptly fell asleep and snoozed through most of the evening. It was too cold to take her trick or treating. But at least she dressed up, right?

So now Halloween is over. Josh was sad today when someone from the ward came by to drop off a paper- he ran to the door when he heard the doorbell, and when I opened it he said "No trick or treat?" But he has plenty of candy to remember the event. And next year I'm sure he will love teaching his little sister all about the joys of trick or treating.
