So, I have been drawing caricature sketches at the 24th of July in Monroe for the past two years, and it has been way fun! I sit down at the end of the parade (around 10:00) and have a constant line of people waiting to get their picture drawn up until around 2:00 when everyone drifts away. It's so cool! I don't charge much since I do it in black and white only--no color--so parents think it's more affordable. Sweet! It's pretty good money for the hours I put into it.
I've always wanted to do more during the summer, though--I mean, there're more festivals and activities than just Monroe's 24th of July!
Well, I got in contact with the Ephraim Co-op, and I got a spot at the upcoming Scandinavian Festival (22nd and 23rd of this month) and a spot at the Manti pageant (June 18-20, 23-27)!!! Sweet! These will be cool because I can draw the people in themed costumes, and they'll be so happy about it! I'm excited about it, if you can't tell by the amount of exclamation points used...

That IS exciting! I still have the caricature you drew of me when I was in 8th grade.... wow. I was on a horse. :)
YAY! That's awesome, Steve! Great way to use that wonderful talent! :) Sending smiles your way!
That is FAB-U-LOUS! I'm hoping to get to the Manti Pageant this year; if we go, we'll have to say hi (and maybe get a picture drawn)!! :)
Well, put a sample picture on your blog! Maybe I'll stop by with my kids on the 24th. What do you charge?
