Service

We had a family home evening about Service and helping others last week. We sang Give Said the Little Stream, showed Josh this picture, and talked about how the boy and his mom were helping the grandma with her flowers. We talked about how Jesus likes it when we do service for each other. Josh practiced saying "Service." For the next few days we tried to use the words Serve and Service. When Josh would grab a diaper for me, I would say "Thank you for doing Service and being a helper!" But all that reinforcement appears to have been for nothing. Last night when we pulled out the picture book to find a picture of the prophet to talk about conference, Josh stopped on the page with the "service" picture. "Look Mom," he said confidently. "His name is Service! And there is his mom and his grandma!" Oh well...
