All Is Well-ish

So after a visit to a specialist for another ultrasound, the diagnosis is that my bleeding, while a legitimate concern for me is "not a big deal." Since baby is still growing and healthy, I have been instructed to not stress out about the bleeding. I was also told that being on official bed rest isn't going to make a difference for me, so I am not to beat myself up if I spend time walking around or doing something besides lying around. Still no picking up Josh (or anything over 15 pounds, which I decided equals anything I don't want to carry like full laundry baskets, etc), no exercising, and no strenuous activities (like hang-gliding, repelling, and vacuuming. OK- I added that last one too.)

We also discovered that baby #2 is most likely a girl. 14 weeks is a bit early for an official declaration, but the ultrasound technician said she could see certain plumbing, and she could definitely NOT see other certain plumbing.

In other news, I have been called as primary chorister which I am WAY excited about. I had that calling up in Logan and LOVED it, so I am thrilled to do it again. Steve is secretly excited too because it means he gets to show off his drawing skills by helping me with visual aids.

Steve is SUPER busy. Teaching at the middle school, teaching a night class once a week at Snow College, taking 2 night classes a week at USU Ephraim, being in the Elders Quorum Presidency... it all adds up. But he is doing great and we love him for the sacrifices he is making to better provide for our family! And on top of all that, he just installed a door between our bedroom and our bathroom vanity area, which has been lovely since he is up and getting ready at unseemly hours of the morning (like 6:15ish). Behold the before and after pics. We are in the process of painting and putting up trim now...

Josh is getting big and smart. He knows stuff we didn't think he would know- like when he brought the Finding Nemo DVD to the DVD player saying "Nemo, Nemo" when he hasn't watched that one in months. And today I was looking at the good ol' "Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You?" book with him, and he turned right to the thunder page and went "BOOM BOOM BOOM." Love this kid. He still gives the baby in my tummy kisses almost every day and is just as sweet as ever.

Pretty sure I'd be terrified about the bleeding too--regardless of a doctor's "okay" note! Good job though for not doing the tedious tasks which, while not necessarily strenuous, still require efforts which you could totally put elsewhere. :) And nice job on the door! I think Darrin would really appreciate a similar installation in our bedroom.

Great work with the door! I really should post a picture of the work Jimmy's done on the basement. He's been insanely working! Hope everything continues well with the pregnancy - and of course it'll be a girl. Everyone is having a girl now but us. :)

I'm so glad that everything is okay with #2! That is so scary! I would totally be a basket case! If it makes you feel any better, my good friend was pregnant w/ twins a couple of years ago, and she bled through the entire pregnancy (which sucked), but everything turned out great, and both babies were born totally healthy! I hope you're all doing great! Or, at least as great as can be expected! ;) I know that pregnancy isn't a walk in the park! lol
Such a cute little fam!
