MATs and Books

I just wanted to write a quick post to update on the cool things happening in the Weller home. I got my MAT scores back yesterday (the MAT is a graduate school entrance test that is all relationship questions: A is to B as C is to D--they're so random and cover such a broad spectrum of topics that you really have no way to study for it) and I passed! I needed to get in the top 40% (so a 60 or higher) and I scored an 88. Not too shabby! Now I can officially submit my application for grad school and take classes in the summer.
Also, my beautiful, oh-so-smart, wonderful wife Kristen made the cover to my book, and we are in negotiations with a publishing company to get it printed in the next month. We're going to get a few sample books made here locally to elicit orders at the school, but we're going to do our best to get them circulated within a month or so. It's a collection of my comic strips for the past two years with some thoughts about growing up and being in middle school. I'm a middle school teacher, so it's appropriate, I think.
So, good things going on here!

Congratulations on both your test and your book. You should now start one for elementary age kids. They love that Wimpy Kid comic. I do too.

Steve,

Good for you on passing your test. I know when Uncle and Paul and I were in school, passing tests and advancing in life....life was busy, but wonderful. We would love to buy one of your books. :) Take care, Hugs!

That is great! Niel just told me his Sunday School kids were talking about you today. Apperently you're a cool teacher and they love that you show them a different comic everyday. I can't say I'm surprised at all. Keep us posted about the book!
